The Currie twins, Baby Erich and Baby Ashlyn were born to Kim and Walt Currie at 25 weeks gestation on June 29, 2005 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Michael's Feat supplied phone cards and gas cards for the family to use for the daily 60 mile round trip visit to the NICU. In addition, to help the parents keep their minds focused on their children, Michael's Feat provided food gift certificates for the Jersey Shore grill at the hospital.
Erich, weighing only 1 pound 8 ounces at birth left the Jersey Shore NICU after five months and one week. Ashlyn never came home. She died on July 9th at the age of 10 days.
Two and a half-years after the death of Baby Ashlyn, a butterfly in her honor was placed in the new Michael’s Feat Resource Room at Monmouth Medical Center.

Morgan was the first baby helped by Michael’s Feat in and she turned 11 in 2010. She was born without the mid-line of her brain. She came to the attention of Michael’s Feat after Dana Puharic read a story in the local newspaper about a benefit being held on behalf of Morgan.
"It's so unreal now that the hospital part of it is over. I know I kept you on the phone a long time just asking questions, but before Juliana's NICU experience, I was clueless about the NICU and what many of those families were going through. I still tear up just thinking about how overwhelming and scary it all was. Our journey and Juliana's recovery isn't over, but she's home and each day gets a little better."
"Thank you and Michael's Feat for what you have done for us!"
-The Gonzalez Family (April, Ben, Gabriella and Juliana)
"In creating Michael’s Feat, not only is Michael always loved and remembered, but it proves to others that we can move forward no matter how difficult our situation is.”

“The success of Michael’s Feat is a testament to Adam & Dana’s commitment to help so many babies and families in their darkest hour. I would advise other parents seeking assistance from Michael’s Feat to definitely use it because it is an excellent resource.”
